On Friday October 2, 2020, through our routine testing of asymptomatic Park Manor employees, contractors, consultants and caregivers, we identified a consultant as being COVID positive. This consultant was wearing full PPE at the time of contact at Park Manor and had limited contact (less than five minutes) with residents and staff. Park Manor tested all employees, consultants, etc. twice in the last week and all other individuals were COVID negative
This is the first and only COVID positive event at Park Manor. As a result of this one positive test, Park Manor is in an outbreak status as defined by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services).
When we received this positive test result, we immediately tested those residents who had limited contact with this consultant and all were COVID negative. We will be doing enhanced monitoring of these same residents over the next fourteen days.
All Park Manor staff and residents will be tested every 3 to 7 days for the next 14 to 28 days to assure there is no spread of the COVID at Park Manor.
Indoor resident visits will continue to be restricted to compassionate care circumstances. Unless further positive cases are identified, resident activities will continue as previously held, using social distancing and appropriate PPE.
Please feel free to contact Park Manor administration should you have any questions regarding this outbreak and Park Manor’s response. The health and wellbeing of our residents is our number one priority. We take the threat of COVID very seriously, knowing the residents we serve are at high risk for serious illness from COVID, and will do whatever is necessary to keep them safe!
