PARK MANOR COVID OUTBREAK UPDATE – October 14, 2020
Hello residents, resident representatives, family and community members,
Through our routine testing of asymptomatic Park Manor employees, contractors, consultants, caregivers and residents, we identified a second consultant as being COVID positive on October 13, 2020. This consultant was wearing full PPE at the time of contact at Park Manor and had limited contact with residents and staff.
Park Manor’s outbreak protocol includes enhanced monitoring of residents who have contact with a COVID positive consultant. We are also testing all residents and staff twice a week as a result of the outbreak and in response to the high prevalence of COVID positive tests in Price County.
We will also continue with our COVID-19 infection control processes initiated in March to prevent the introduction of COVID-19 to our building. These include daily health screening of all staff, enhanced cleaning, use of PPE by all staff and residents, extra resident symptom screening, increased hand washing/sanitizing, social distancing of residents during activities and limited visiting. In addition, twice per week COVID testing will continue for at least 14 to 28 days until Park Manor has 14 days with no positive tests and Price County’s positive percentage drops below 10%.
