PARK MANOR CONTINUES TO BE FREE FROM COVID
Park Manor has continued to test staff for COVID weekly, according to the Price County COVID positivity rate, since the end of our outbreak status on February 15th. We are happy to say we have had no positive staff during this testing. Additionally we have had no residents become ill and require testing. We are COVID free!!! With the decreased number of COVID positive individuals in Price County, we will be transitioning to staff testing every other week. Should a resident or staff member have COVID symptoms, they will be tested. Our testing schedule may also be modified in the future based on Park Manor and community COVID prevalence
EXPANSION OF VISITS AT PARK MANOR
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) along with the CDC has issued new, expanded rules for liberalizing visits in long-term care facilities. This new guidance will allow us to provide more opportunities for our residents to have visitors. We are currently revising our visiting policy and anticipate beginning our expanded visiting schedule next week. Visitors will still be required to follow the core principles of COVID-19 infection prevention, including screening, hand hygiene, face covering/masking and social distancing. However, time and location of visiting may be more flexible. We will no longer perform COVID testing of visitors and while vaccinations for visitors is recommended, it will not be required. Our policy and guidelines will be revised routinely based on the level of COVID in our facility and county, and as new guidance is received from the CDC, CMS and Wisconsin Division of Health Services. The full set of expanded visit guidelines will be available on Park Manor’s website at www.parkmanorwi.com.
RESIDENTS AND STAFF COVID VACCINATIONS
With the completion of resident and staff vaccinations in February, Park Manor is collaborating with Park Pharmacy to provide COVID vaccinations to new residents and staff. Vaccinations will be provided weekly, as needed, to those who have not had the opportunity to get their vaccinations prior to coming to Park Manor.
Please feel free to contact Park Manor administration should you have any questions. Also, continue to watch for routine updates at www.parkmanorwi.com or our Facebook page Park Manor Ltd.
