PARK MANOR TESTING – NO COVID-19!!
On June 1st and June 2nd Park Manor completed voluntary COVID-19 screening tests on all residents and employees. There were a total of 213 tests processed. We are happy to report that PARK MANOR HAD NO POSITIVE COVID-19 TEST RESULTS! This testing was done as a result of the recommendation by the CDC and State of Wisconsin to screen all nursing home and assisted living residents and staff as a baseline to begin the move toward opening up Wisconsin nursing homes and assisting living facilities. Testing was done statewide at nursing homes since mid-May.
It is highly likely, based on preliminary recommendations from the CDC, there will be repeat testing of staff and residents to aid in the protection of our residents. At this time the timing of repeat testing has not been determined by the state of Wisconsin.
Thank you to all residents, staff and Park Falls community members for being so diligent with safety precautions, social distancing, hand washing and use of masks and PPE. It will take all of us to maintain the health and safety of our residents and community.
This testing is a positive move toward opening up for limited visitation in the near future. We are hopeful the state of Wisconsin will be coming out with the necessary guidance for this process to begin in the next two weeks.
The fact remains, this virus has not gone away, and we are in a more precarious situation with the “Safer at Home” order overturned. The only way we are going to protect ourselves is to maintain our own diligence in protecting ourselves. Please continue to social distance, do frequent handwashing and use masks when in public. Until a vaccine and treatment is developed we will all continue to be at risk for contracting COVID-19.
Park Manor residents and staff will continue to follow the CDC, CMS and Wisconsin Department of Health Services recommendations regarding visitation and safe social contacts to assure the continued safety of all.
Thanks again! We are facility and community proud!
